The Dovecote Barns, a set of luxury self catering holiday cottages in North Yorkshire, have been recognized as the best self-catering accommodation in the country.

The luxury eco-barns run by Brigita and Richard Bramley won the award for excellence at the Enjoy England Awards. The barns have won other awards previously at the Welcome to Yorkshire White Rose Awards as well as at the York Tourism Awards. The three cottages are sumptuously finished 18th century barn conversions that use only renewable energy, and each barn has a private garden area with a barbecue. The Royal Shakespeare Company also won an award at the Enjoy England Awards in Birmingham, along with Chatsworth House in Derbyshire for the best large visitor attraction and Royal Ascot in Berkshire for the best tourism event.

The UK travel company Jigsaw Holidays has added a new option for those seeing a cottage holiday in the Cotswalds. The 3 bedroom Daisy Dell cottage is now available for short and medium-term rental. The cottage is located in the beautiful English village of Kingham, which was recently named "England's Favorite Village" by Country Life Magazine.

The town is close tot he world-renowned Daylesford Organic Farmshop and Spa and also a short drive from Cotswold attractions like the Sudeley Castle, Blenheim Palace, and The Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford Upon Avon. The property dates to the 18th century, and is set over three floors with its own private garden surrounded by its original stone wall. The owners have taken great care to maintain many of the original architectural features, including the structural beams. However, the cottage has been fully restored, and also features all the modern conveniences like an LCD TV, DVD player, WiFi internet, dishwasher, microwave and washing machines.
